Award to the Most Sustainable Stand at SEO 2024 Congress

Smart Room Barcelona is committed to achieve more sustainable stands

We are very proud to communicate that our booth for Laboratorios Théa (the Spanish branch of Théa Laboratoires) was awarded with the "Most Sustainable Stand" at the Spanish Ophtalmology Society Congress, which 100th edition was held last September in Madrid Congress Palace.

Our client planned a strategy to achieve a sustainable experience, not only related to the booth, but also with the catering and even with the merchandising for the visitors.

Among others, the main features of this stand were:

DESIGN

• Reduced number of woodwork structural elements. (The majority of the space is open, with only 3 pillars which support the 2 thin canopies.  These pillars are also used as work surfaces).
• Application of reuse materials in non-visible parts.
• Minimal use of printed materials (opting for audiovisuals).

PRODUCTION

• Produced locally, in Madrid
• Use of raw materials with the "Mixed FSC" seal
• Implementation of 100% reusable materials:  3D logos, furniture, audiovisual devices, LED lamps.
• Implementation of upcyclable materials: flooring and walls.

CATERING

• Use of a water dispenser for visitors
• Use of ground coffee, avoiding disposable capsules
• Use of coffee cups and stirring sticks without plastic
• Use of bins for waste separation

MERCHANDISING

• Recycled alluminum bottles (RSC certificate) with bamboo cap (FSC certificate) to avoid water cups
• Lanyards made of recycled polyester
• Pencils with flower seeds

STAND BUILDING COMPANY

• Smart Room Barcelona participates in the NZCE (netzerocarbonevents.org), which pursues a reduction of the carbon emission in the events industry.
