Masaru Ozaki's Christmas Videomapping Installation in Tokyo

Smart Room Barcelona discovered a Christmas installation set some years ago by Japanese artist Masaru Ozaki in Tokyo, designed for the Parko Shibuya store. Even if performed in 2009, it still looks quite fresh!

The basic support consisted in geometric volumes emulating trees, but the complete mapping projection was triggered when people swiped their mobiles through a special scanner.

Masaru has become a motion graphics designer and has lived in the USA since he was 19. He has worked for theatre, motion pictures, exhibits and publicity.
